Description

The PROLENE™ Monofilament Suture, Blue, Size 6-0, 18", with Double-Armed C-1 Taper Point Needles is a sterile, synthetic, nonabsorbable suture composed of polypropylene. It is intended for general soft tissue approximation and ligation where long-term tensile strength is necessary. The monofilament structure offers smooth passage through tissue, resulting in reduced tissue drag and minimal trauma during placement.

The C-1 needle is a 3/8 circle taper point needle, designed for atraumatic penetration through delicate soft tissues. This configuration allows the needle to separate rather than cut the tissue fibers, making it particularly suitable for ophthalmic, neurological, and microvascular procedures where precision and minimal tissue damage are essential.

PROLENE™ sutures are biologically inert and non-adherent to tissue, minimizing the risk of inflammatory response and facilitating easier suture removal.
